This is a too late step into my career. But as the old said; “Better Late than Never”.
I’ve been a maker since my early years. And I’ve had that passion for writing and sharing what I make with the world. I’ve always wanted to have my own outlet the world. A place where I can share my experiments and knowledge with others.
That would be normally a website.
Actually I’ve managed to make a lot of websites and blogs where I practiced my passion for making and writing. The only problem is that I’ve always to build something that is totally free.
I never wanted to pay for hosting or for registering a domain name. Now that I’ve managed to make a couple of active traffic websites and I wanted to make them look and feel professional that’s when I knew I made a big mistake by using free blogging services.
It’s only now when I realized that it doesn’t cost so much to pay for hosting and a domain. While the reward can definitely be larger that what you might think.
But anyway, I forgive myself and want you to forgive me also.
And I’m telling you not to make my mistake of not starting a website right now. You can of course transfer all your posts, images, files and even comments from the free blogging service at any time. But that will be a headache and it wouldn’t look as elegant as it would do with the paid service from the beginning.
You cannot also transfer the traffic or the search ranking to your new website easily.
So I’m asking you to take the right choice right from the beginning right now.
